Sight Seeing.

Today I my mom and I were taken by Semih’s uncle. We saw the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Cisterns, which I especially liked. When I went into Blue Mosque I had to put on a sheet to cover my shoulders and take off my shoes and carry them around in a bag. It was very beautiful on the inside; there was a lot of blue on the inside of the mosque which is probably why it is called the Blue Mosque. At the Hagia Sophia there was a pillar called ‘The Wishing Pillar’ where you’re supposed to sick your thumb into a hole and turn your hand all the way around without taking your fingers off the pillar and then make a wish, there was also one in the Cisterns. I did both without lifting off my fingers, I guess my two wishes are supposed to come true. There were these fat fish living in the water at the bottom of the Cistern. There were also two big marble Medusa heads that were set at the base of pillars, one was completely upside down and the other was turned on its side and it said no one knows why. It was pretty interesting if I do say so myself.
